Zentangle art class for adults — Thursday, Aug. 7, 6:30-8 p.m. Kathy Vincent from ArtSmart. Studio, leads adults in creating Zentangle Tiles. By using India ink, participants create a series of wild linear designs on paper “tiles” and mandalas. Materials provided. Max. 16. Register.
Genealogy research roundtable — Saturday, Aug. 9, 10 a.m.-noon. Come share your successes, current projects, and brick walls. Each participant gets five minutes to tell their story followed by feedback and suggestions from participants and Society members. Co-sponsored by the TLS and the Connecticut Ancestry Society.
Shell candles for teens and tweens — Summer Reading Road Trip. Wednesday, Aug. 13, 3-4 p.m. For kids in grades 6 though 12. Make a scented candle in a real sea shell.
