On two consecutive days in July, approximately 25 employees from United Healthcare donated their time and effort to beautifying the grounds of the Trumbull Nature and Arts Center. They joined TNAC volunteers to remove invasive plants, trim trees, clear brush and weed the gardens. In all, four gardens benefited from these volunteers.

Access to the pond has been improved through the removal of invasive, non-native thorn bushes. United Healthcare’s Volunteer Day is an opportunity for United Healthcare employees to volunteer in the community on their choice of projects. “This community-building effort by United Healthcare was greatly appreciated. The enthusiasm and good spirits of the volunteers made for an enjoyable day. We at the TNAC thank United Healthcare and their volunteers for their strong support of our Center.”
