On a hot and humid day in July, fifteen employees from United Healthcare donated their time and effort to beautifying the grounds of the Trumbull Nature and Arts Center. They joined TNAC volunteers to remove invasive plants, clear brush, weed the gardens and paint one of rooms inside the building. The garden area near the front entrance is looking good, as is the area around the building and the playground, according to TNAC. Access to the pond has been improved through the removal of invasive non-native rose bushes. United Healthcare's Volunteer Day is an opportunity for United Healthcare employees to volunteer in the community on their choice of projects. This community-building effort by United Healthcare was greatly appreciated. The enthusiasm and good spirits of the volunteers made for an enjoyable day. TNAC thanks United Healthcare and their volunteers for their strong support of the Center.
