Two Roads Brewing event this Saturday
Two Roads Brewing Company is releasing this year’s Unorthodox Russian Imperial Stout aged in Rye Whiskey Barrels. Sikorsky sons, Igor Jr. and Nikolai will be available for two hours to sign autographs.
The event takes place at Two Roads Brewing Company, 1700 Stratford Ave., Stratford, on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. Doors will open at 8 a.m., with the gates to the brewery parking lot at 6:30 a.m.
There will be a limit of three bottles per person of this year’s 2014 vintage. There are a total of 1,980 bottles, first come, first serve. Cost is $20 a bottle.
Come up to the tasting room and proceed to the two glass doors. A Two Roads employee will ask how many bottles you want to purchase and then give you one ticket for each bottle requested. You can then proceed down the stairs to the brewery floor to purchase your bottles. Tickets do not guarantee you a bottle, so stay in line when you get your ticket. On the brewery floor, there will be four lines; two cash only lines and two credit card lines.
A taster of Igor is $5 (about 5 oz.), and an 8 oz. pour is $8. No Igor growlers but growler sales of all our other beers will begin at 1 p.m.
Four food trucks will also be there: Fryborg, Caseus Grilled Cheese, Cowabunga Burgers, and Firehouse Grill.
Two Road will be selling six packs on the floor along with Igor. Due to Conn. law, you can only purchase up to a case of beer per person, per day. Regular six pack sales will resume in their merchandise room at 1 p.m.
Our Brewmaster, Phil Markowski, as well as Igor Sikorsky’s sons will be signing bottles in the private event room also known as The Vault Room. The Sikorsky brothers will be there from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Posters, fedoras, T-shirts and glassware will be for sale starting at 9 a.m.
Ten percent of bar sales will be donated to CT Fallen Heroes Foundation.
The Air and Space Museum will have a display, and Sikorsky will have an eight-foot model of a helicopter as well.
