The James and Eileen Manning Charitable Remainder Trust has given a historical $1 million gift to Make-A-Wish Connecticut, in support of its mission to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. This is the second contribution the Trust has made to Make-A-Wish this year, having donated $500,000 in February.
Jimmy Satalino, grandson of the James and Eileen Manning Charitable Remainder Trust founder, became closely involved with Make-A-Wish through his lifelong friend and Make-A-Wish Connecticut Board Member Denny Gates. Gates has continued to be an advocate for Make-A-Wish and its mission, bringing many members of the community into the Make-A-Wish Family. Satalino and his family’s decision to support the organization in such a substantial way comes at a time of great need for the chapter, as more wishes are being granted every day.
