Great food and the NCAA Basketball Championship provided the perfect backdrop for last week’s GOP fund-raising efforts.

In a record turnout, the annual Final Four fund-raiser was an opportunity for many residents to voice their support for First Selectman Tim Herbst and the Republican administration, as well as several state leaders from the area. Chairman Jack Testani (who was unable to attend because of his obligation to his elected position on the Trumbull Town Council) remarked, “The event at Prime 111 and the turnout by a diverse group of Trumbull’s residents is proof that Republican policies of smaller, fiscally responsible government is working and people like what is happening.”

The Trumbull Republican Town Committee said it wished to recognize Prime 111, manager Kurt Popick and the staff for an outstanding night of great refreshments and fun.

Testani went on to say, “The Trumbull Republican Party (TRTC) plans on having more events in the coming months and we will continue to give back to the community by participating with organizations such as the Trumbull Chamber of Commerce, Trumbull Community Women’s ‘Tidy Up Trumbull’ event, and by collecting donations for the Trumbull Food Pantry.

I ask Trumbull residents who are interested in helping the Trumbull Republican Party continue its leadership and positive community outreach to contact me through the TRTC website:”
