On Saturday, May 3, from 1:30-5 p.m., Baker Pediatrics, 5520 Park Ave., Trumbull will hold their 4th annual St. Baldrick’s event. The non-for-profit event donates 100% of the proceeds which goes directly to St. Baldrick’s to fight kid’s cancer.

Last year’s event there were 79 shavee’s, raising more than $49,000. In the past three years, more than $136,000 has been raised.

It is now open for participants to join.

Previously, Booth Hill, Daniels Farm, Frenchtown, Jane Ryan, Middlebrook, and Tashua Elementary Schools participated. The event is kid based and for families, groups, businesses and organizations, volunteering or donating to the event.

Anyone who is hesitant to shave their heads can join the team “Hooping for Hope,” and hula away while raising money.

It would not be possible without the support of local businesses who donate to the raffle, food, etc.
