Margery Winters, assistant director and instructor at Roaring Brook Nature Center, will be the featured speaker when the Long Hill Garden Club meets on Monday, Feb. 22,  at the Trumbull Library. The meeting begins at 11:30 a.m., and the program will start at 12:45 p.m. The program will be Spring Wildflowers.

Winters will discuss Connecticut’s myriad of spring wildflowers, why they bloom in the spring, where to find them, how they got their names and what makes them so special.She manages the native plant gardens at the nature center and is a former environmental scientist. She holds a M. Sc. From Queen’s University, Canada and a B.A. from Miami University, Ohio.

There is a $10 guest fee.
