Girl Scouts of Connecticut is inviting girls and women to take part in a new season of Scouting.

Girl Scouts is “the place for girls to have fun and try new experiences such as building robots, camping under the stars at one of our many summer camps, or by making a difference in their local communities with service projects,” the organization said in a press release.

There are a number of ways in which girls can participate. In addition to joining troops, girls can enter as an individual member and participate in a series, events and travel opportunities.

From a Daisy Scout in kindergarten to a Girl Scout Ambassador in high school, making a sustainable change in her community by pursuing the Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting.

As a girl-led organization, girls work with adult mentors to help determine which activities they are interested in and will best suit their needs.

Girl Scouts of Connecticut relies on volunteers to make programs and activities possible. Adults who are interested in making a difference in a girl’s life are encouraged to join.
