The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Monroe and Trumbull will be held on May 30, from 3 p.m., to midnight at the Trumbull High School Track and Football Field located on 72 Strobel Road. Teams can sign up on-line at relayforlife.org/monroetrumbullct.

The Relay For Life of Monroe and Trumbull is a community-based event where teams and individuals set up campsites at Trumbull High School and take turns walking or running around a track. Each team has at least one participant on the track at all times. The theme for this year’s Relay is Decades of Hope. Music and events will surround the decades past and present.

Opening ceremonies will begin at 3 p.m., and the Cancer Survivors’ reception will be held immediately following. A special ceremony honoring Caregivers will take place at 8:30 p.m. The Luminaria Ceremony will begin at 9 p.m., with closing ceremonies at 11:30 p.m.
