ArtSmart Fairy Cottages and Gnome Homes — Celebrate the arrival of Spring with the creation of whimsical tabletop constructions. Crafters will use twigs, shells, silk flowers, and more to design a miniature, magical home atop a hand cut log base. Fairy or gnome included. Tuesday, March 3, 4:30-6 p.m. Ages 7 and up; cost: $20/child (pre-registration required).

Maple Sugaring — Join Ranger Mark for this free fun family afternoon of maple sugaring. Observe how a maple tree is tapped, and learn how sap is made into sweet syrup over our campfire. We’ll also have hiking, snacks and a maple craft activity. Saturday, March 7, noon-2 p.m. All ages (family-friendly).

Make Your Own Birdfeeder — Make your own bird feeder and learn about our feathered friends. Each child will make a bird feeder to bring home. Plus, we’ll search for birds at the center and learn all about them. Sunday, March 8, 10-11:30 p.m. Ages: K-3; $15/child (pre-registration required).
