New York City Swing to headline Magic Moments: An autism project fund-raiser
On Saturday, May 3, , at The Bijou Theatre, 275 Fairfield Ave., in Bridgeport, the band, New York City Swing will headline the spring fund-raiser for autism. The show is paced with hit after hit in a high energy, interactive stage performance.
This event is the main funding source for The Kennedy Center autism project, which helps more than 450 local children with autism spectrum disorders and their families. The evening will kick off with a cocktail party, food and silent auction at 7 p.m., followed by a concert performance at 9 p.m. The emcee is Jocelyn Maminta, News 8 medical reporter.
Prior to this main stage performance, 8-year-old autistic piano prodigy, Ethan Walmark of Westport will showcase his talent with a magnificent solo. He has made a name for himself when an Utube video of him playing “Piano Man” at age 6 went viral.
