Gary Zinsmeyer will present his program, “Non-Harmonic Floral Designs: Challenging the Rules and Guidelines of Design,” when the Long Hill Garden Club meets on Monday, Feb. 23, at the Trumbull Public Library.

The meeting begins at 11:30 a.m., and the program will start at 12:45. He will discuss how floral design rules can be broken to accomplish dramatic results demonstrating tips and techniques for building quality flower arrangements and educating on a variety of topics. His comical demeanor adds to the presentation of options one might not have considered.

A graduate of Cornell University’s School of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Zinsmeyer, quite literally, knows flowers from the ground up. He takes horticulture education seriously. He was “green” long before green was in fashion.

There is a $10 guest fee.
