A Bridgeport man turned himself in on a warrant for larceny in the fourth degree at the Trumbull Police Department at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 16.

Police said Michael Dawson, 19, worked as an employee at Kohl’s back in April and stole $1,272 out of the register.

According to a report, Dawson was accused of employee theft after there were several shortages of money at the department store.

Store security reviewed footage and saw him take money out of the register during a few shifts. He was brought in and admitted to committing the crime, which allowed Trumbull police to obtain a warrant.

He was released and is scheduled to appear in court Monday, June 27.
