After nine years on Park Avenue in Trumbull, Johnna Dineley, owner of Jo Davi Salon, has moved her salon to the new building located on 140 Route 111 (Monroe Turnpike) Trumbull.

“It was really time,” Dineley said. “As my salon continues to grow, I needed not only to look at how we service our clients, but also the structure of the salon itself in providing the right infrastructure, physical space, location, etc., necessary for customer satisfaction and future growth.”

“I really focused on the type of environment I've been in, which has always been very inviting, flexible, and customer driven. But, as I contemplated moving, I began to explore varying customer experiences as well as potential additional staff in 2014, I felt it was time to define my location/space and allow the salon to grow into that vision.”

The 2,500 square-foot space includes an open reception area, space for 11 workstations, waxing, Botox, hair and eyelash extension room, a boutique furnished with professional retail products, hair accessories, and the latest trends and fashionable items, and an employee-oriented space. Additionally, this location affords Dineley’s customers a larger, more convenient parking lot, easier access to local transit, and major roadways.

Within the next year, the salon will be adding wigs to their menu of services. After much research, Dineley said that wigs are back and better than ever. Whether you need a wig due to medical circumstances, natural hair loss, or as a fashion accessory, our salon will soon be able to accommodate your needs.

The salon will soon be offering organic spray tanning, which is now the healthiest way to tan — no exposure to the sun or chemicals contained in non-organic spray tanners. Additional information about the benefits of organic spray tanning will be forthcoming via Jo Davi’s website and Facebook page.

When selecting this space, Dineley said, “I spent over two years patiently searching out the perfect location for my salon.” It was critical that she remain within the Trumbull community, where she has a strong commitment and long, personal ties.

Jo Davi Salon was designed by one of Dineley's master stylists, Mary Gallagher. Gallagher’s use of color, high ceilings, bare windows, and geometric furniture makes the entire space stand out as unique to any salon in the area. Although the design is sleek and streamlined, it is also ironically warm and welcoming.

The telephone number, 203-374-7111, will remains the same. The salon can also be contacted, via email, at reception@jodavisalon.com, or at jodavisalon.com. The salon's open house is scheduled for Monday, June 9 from noon to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to celebrate the grand opening.
