Rita Bond will present a slide presentation “Improving and Maintaining your Home’s Curb Appeal,” when the Long Hill Garden Club meets on Monday, Jan. 26, at the Trumbull Library. The meeting begins at 11:30 a.m., and the program will start at 12:45 p.m.

The visual attractiveness of the front of a house and grounds makes an important first impression. Learn tips and techniques to perk up your home whether you are rejuvenating old, tired, overgrown beds or simply seeking to find the right style and color for a front door. Illustrative examples to help you evaluate and improve will be provided.

Bond is a landscape designer, whose focus is residential design, as well as a lecturer and teacher of gardening and design. She pursued a certificate in landscape design at the New York Botanical Gardens and became a Master Gardener through UCONN’s cooperative extension program.
