Twenty-six hearts, painted in honor of each victim of the Sandy Hook shooting, will be on display Wednesday, April 10, from 5 to 9 p.m. at The Giggling Pig Studio in Shelton.

The heARTS for Newtown project was organized by Giggling Pig owner, Hannah Perry. Each heart is painted by a different artist, inspired by one particular person killed in the school shooting.

All are invited to attend and view the finished project. The event is free but organizers will be collecting donations for Healing Newtown — Healing Through the Arts organization.

“The hearts will be hung like balloons floating in the room,” Perry said.

The Giggling Pig is located at 478 River Road in Shelton.
