Hair Company Salon, part of Fairfield for 18 years, will close for two weeks on Jan. 14 to undergo a complete remodeling, according to owner/manager Alice Procaccini, a hair stylist for more than 35 years.

When the newly-renovated Hair Company Salon opens on Tuesday, Jan. 28, it will feature a much more open look and will be decorated in muted tones of brown and beige.

“We have been part of the community for a long time, and I felt we needed to give the salon a totally new look as we begin 2014,” Procaccini said. “We have always been a family salon, sometimes serving 3 generations, and most of my hair stylists have been with me since we opened 18 years ago.

“Now we want our customer family and new customers to feel even more pampered and relaxed when they have their hair styled. Once we re-open, we’ll be offering discounts to new customers along with giveaways and promotions for current customers,” she added.

Long-time Fairfield contractor Robert Storms and his son, Robert Jr., owners of Storms Construction Co., will be completing the transformation of the salon, Procaccini said. They have done a great deal of restoration work, especially with owners of beach-front homes in Fairfield that were damaged by Hurricane Sandy.
