Fund-raiser dance to benefit Alzheimer's Association
The Northbridge Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support group, Bridgeport, will be holding a dance to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Associations “Walk to End Alzheimer’s.” The dance takes place on Friday, Oct. 11, from 7-11 p.m., at The Riverview Bistro in Stratford.
Everything has been donated. The Signature Band will be playing great dance music. The Riverview Bistro has donated their facility and a light buffet. There are also raffles and silent auction items.
Kristen Cusato, Director of the Southwestern office of the Alzheimer’s Association of CT, formerly co-anchor of WTNH News 8 Morning News, will briefly speak about Alzheimer’s and the upcoming “Walk to End Alzheimer’s.”
“Since everything has been donated”, says Denise Loeb and Lisa Fratarcangeli, both employees of Northbridge Health Care Center, “every dollar that we collect will go directly to the Alzheimer’s Association to fund a cure for this horrible disease. We raised over $3,400 at last year’s dance.
Tickets are $25 per person in advance and $30 at the door. A cash bar will be available.
