Connecticut Chamber Choir auditions Sep. 2 and 9
Auditions for Connecticut Chamber Choir, Constance Chase, Artistic Director (CCC), will audition experienced choral singers with good sight-reading skills by appointment only on Tuesday, Sept. 2, to fill limited openings in alto, tenor and bass sections.
Rehearsals begin Tuesday, Sept. 9, all on Tuesday evenings, at 7:30 p.m., in Trumbull.
Performances will be Jan. 11, 2015, 4 p.m. Music for a Royal Celebration, Haydn Lord Nelson Mass and Handel Coronation Anthems with orchestra. Guest artists: Louise Fauteaux, soprano; Sarah Kraus, mezzo-soprano; Matthew Cimino, tenor; Edward Pleasant, baritone; Alan Murchie, organ. May 3, 2015, 4 p.m., Psalms, Songs, and Spirituals, featuring Vaughn Williams’ Five Mystical Songs, and works by Tallis, Holst, Britten, Walton, Bairstow, Manz, Thompson, Hogan, Alice Parker, Kenneth Jennings, Hubert Bird, Rosephanye Powell, Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory. Guest artist: Christopher Judd, baritone; featuring CCC’s newly appointed collaborative keyboardist, Galen Tate.
