Cell phone recycling helps women in crisis
B’nai Torah Nursery School, 5700 Main St., is continuing its collection of used/broken/unwanted cell phones, batteries and chargers from locations throughout the Trumbull area. Collected items are sent to Wireless Wizard for refurbishing and distribution of the phones to women in crisis so that they can call 911 in case of emergency.
The nursery school benefits and unused phones and accessories are disposed of in an environmentally friendly way through the program.
Collection boxes can be found at the following Trumbull locations: B’nai Torah Nursery School, Trumbull Police Station, Old Towne Restaurant, Trumbull Library, Fairchild Library, The Corner Deli, Minuteman Cleaners, Guacamole Grill and Mackenzie’s Pharmacy.
Collection boxes are also located at Anytime Fitness, Hair Studio, the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library and Dairy Queen in Monroe, as well as Beechwood Grocery in Shelton.
