50 Shades of Pink Pumpkins at the Trumbull Library
On Thursday, Oct. 22, at 6:30 p,m., the Trumbull Library, 33 Quality St., is partnering with The Norma F. Pfreim Breast Care Center to present 50 Shades of Pink Pumpkins. Participants will learn how to practice good breast health, and get together with friends for some conversation and the opportunity to personalize a pink pumpkin to display for breast cancer awareness month.
Jackie Carlino, the library’s program coordinator stated, “Our residents look to the library as a meeting place, so it was only natural for us to come up with a way to let people meet during October to celebrate good breast health. We plan to make 50 Shades of Pink Pumpkins an annual event and encourage Trumbull residents to display pink pumpkins as a way to promote October as breast cancer awareness month.”
The 50 pink pumpkins are currently on display in the main branch of the library. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided. The first 50 registrants receive a complementary pink pumpkin. Register on the library’s website or by calling the library at 203-452-5197. Trumbull residents are encouraged to use hashtag #tlspp to promote Trumbull’s pink pumpkins on social media.
