Trumbull High School varsity boys coach, Jim Kammerman, and former THS girls and current Pace University coach\u00a0 Mike Spinner, will begin implementing a new Trumbull Youth Lacrosse curriculum with a series of winter clinics, which are designed to provide consistency and grow with in a child\u2019s development as they progress through the program. The clinics are 60-minute sessions at InSports Trumbull (formerly the Trumbull SpostsZone), and will be structured to serve both new players and returning players. The dates are Jan. 8 through March 26 (10-week sessions) with two spring evaluations as well. The registration cost varies with program: U-11, U13 & U15 boys and girls $200\u00a0 ($25 discount for each additional sibling); U-7 boys and girls Little Eagles are $100. TYL boys clinics Seniors : Birthday on or after 9\/1\/1998 to 8\/31\/2000 Juniors : Birthday on or after 9\/1\/2000 to 8\/31\/2002 Lightnings: Birthday on or after 9\/1\/2002 to 8\/31\/2004 Bantams: Birthday on or after 9\/1\/2004 to 8\/31\/2006 Little Eagles: Birthday\u00a0 9\/1\/2006 to 8\/31\/2008 TYL girls clinics Seniors: 7th and 8th Grade Juniors: 5th and 6th Grade Lightings: 4th Grade Bantams: 2nd & 3rd Grade Little Eagles: Kindergarten and 1st Grade Remember that equipment is not included. Equipment packages may be purchased from Dicks Sporting Goods, Lacrosse Unlimited and ComLax in Norwalk and MacWear in Fairfield. Boys need a stick, arm pads, gloves, shoulder pads, helmet and mouthguard. Girls need a stick, eye protection and a mouthguard. The winter program will focus on instruction, skill building and scrimmaging in preparation for the spring 2014 season.
