Winter storm buries state

Virtually the entire state is shut down as New England digs out from Winter Storm Nemo. About two feet of snow fell in town in the past 24 hours, and wind-blown drifts as high as five feet have been reported. All town roads are closed until further notice, according to Trumbull police.

The United Illuminating Co. is reporting that its power grid sustained limited damage overnight, but as of this morning scattered outages affected only about 180 customers.
