Trumbull's Republican Registrar of Voters William Holden announced Wednesday, March 9, that he has appointed Tracy Vonick to the position of Deputy Republican Registrar of Voters. Vonick replaces Fran Hanna, who retired after admirably serving many years in that position.
Vonick, a lifelong resident of Trumbull, is a certified election Moderator. He has been serving as a polling place assistant registrar the last few elections and primaries.
“Tracy has been a long time community volunteer having served for five years as Chairman of the Town Council, a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals and a member of the Parks Commission,” Holden said.
Vonick also volunteered with Trumbull Little League and Babe Ruth baseball as well as Pop Warner football.
Vonick thanked the Registrar saying, “I am grateful and honored Bill Holden selected me out of the excellent candidates that were available.”
“I am proud to serve the people of Trumbull in any way I can,” he added
With presidential preference primaries to be held on April 26 and the general election in November, Vonick stated he looks forward to continue providing the best possible election day experience for the voters.
All election officials, regardless of party affiliation, work hard to make voting as expedient and gratifying as possible.
Tracy Vonick was a trader for Bridgewater Associates and owner of Tula Restaurant. He has a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University.
He and his wife, Allison, are the parents of twins, William and Emily, and live in the Long Hill section of Trumbull.
