All FCIAC football game scheduled for Thursday were postponed until the weekend.

The FCIAC board of directors made the decision to alter this week’s schedule after considering the forecast of severe weather for Wednesday and Thursday, combined with the region’s continuing recovery from Hurricane Sandy.

The FCIAC Board of Directors released the following statement after meeting on Monday afternoon.

“All football games scheduled for this week are to be played on Friday or Saturday, as determined by the schools involved.

“In addition, games scheduled for next Tuesday, Nov. 13, are to be rescheduled for Thursday, Friday or Saturday, Nov. 15-17.

“The FCIAC championship game match-up will be determined after the completion of the week nine (Nov. 15-17) games.

“If the championship game cannot be rescheduled, co-champions will be declared.”
