Town launching "Trumbull's Got Talent"

TRUMBULL —  The library is looking to shine a light on the town's most gifted residents as it debuts "Trumbull's Got Talent" this year.

The library will host a townwide talent show at 2 p.m. on Dec. 4, spotlighting the best that Trumbull has to offer. To fill out the roster, library staff are seeking aspiring artists who would be willing to participate. Talents can include, but aren't limited to, singing, dancing, instrumental music, skits, magic, comedy, martial arts and juggling.

The show is open to performers of all ages, but acts with any members under 18 years old must have written consent from parents for each of the members if selected to perform. Performance groups may be no larger than six members, and acts must be no more than five minutes.

No profanity or insensitive subject matter will be permitted and costumes must be appropriate for all ages.

Performers should submit a one-minute clip of their intended act via Instagram, Facebook or a link to Google Drive or Dropbox. If an act requires audio or visual supports, make a note of it in the submission video.

Those selected for the talent show will be notified Nov. 4, and an onsite rehearsal will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 2 in the library's community room. In a news release, library advised that the community room stage isn't accessible, as there are three steps on either side.
