The Trumbull High School Choirs are preparing for an exciting, song-filled December.

On Saturday, December 14 the Trumbull High School Concert Choirvwill perform with the Greater Bridgeport Symphony at 7:30 p.m. at the Klein Auditorium. The Concert Choir will appear at the end of the program performing Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus and Handel's Hallelujah Chorus from his epic Messiah.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to work with a professional conductor and orchestra,” said Choir Director Anne Tornillo. For more information about this concert, which also features Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D major as well as selections from Strauss, Ravel, Nicolai and Ljova, contact the Greater Bridgeport Symphony at www.gbs.org or call 203-576-0263.

On Wednesday, December 18 the five Trumbull High School choral groups will present their annual Winter Concert at 7:30 p.m. in the Trumbull High School Auditorium, 72 Strobel Road. Tickets are $5 each, available at the door. The Concert Choir, the Chamber Singers, the Freshman Chorus, the Women’s Ensemble and the Men’s Ensemble will perform. Choir Director Anne Tornillo will conduct these groups in a variety of holiday music. The evening will conclude, as it always does, with another joyful Hallelujah Chorus, an annual tradition at Trumbull High when all the choral groups combine on stage joined by chorus alumni from the audience.
