The Queen's Jewels, lecture and presentation at library
The Trumbull Library presents The Queen’s Jewels by Patricia Carr on Wednesday, December 14 at 6:30 pm as part of the Mallett Lecture Series.
The British Royal Family owns a unique collection of jewelry, much of it in their personal collection. The presentation is rich with related photographs. See, for instance, the same piece worn through the ages by Queen Victoria, then Queen Alexandra, Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, and finally the current Elizabeth II. Come and hear some of the fascinating stories relating to these beautiful pieces.
Patricia Carr was born in England and educated there in private schools. For the past 17 years she has worked as a guide at the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington, and is a docent at the Yale Center for British Art in New Haven.
The presentation is free and open to the public. Register by clicking here or by calling the library at 203-452-5197.
