St. Joe's within a score of New Canaan in 4th of FCIAC final

The Cadets are holding on to a one-score deficit against New Canaan early in the fourth quarter of the FCIAC football championship. The Rams, who opened the fourth quarter with a missed field goal, lead St. Joseph 21-14 in the FCIAC football championship.

New Canaan opened the third quarter with a three-and-out. The Cadets drove to midfield before punting and pinning the Rams deep in their own territory thanks to a good punt and a Rams penalty.

For the second time tonight, a Rams drive was halted by a turnover inside the 10 yard line when Nick Cascione fumbled on a run. But minutes later, after a Rams interception at the 25 by Mike DiCosmo, run back to the six yard line, Cascione ran it in from one yard out (off a high snap) to put the Rams up 21-14.

The Rams are on the St. Joe's 20 early in the fourth quarter.
