Snow to continue through most of the day, roads slippery

Winter isn't done with Trumbull yet. An overnight changeover from rain to snow, has led to messy conditions, cancelling school and leading the town to close the senior center for activities March 5.

The Town of Trumbull's Twitter page said roads are very slippery and all are asked to drive carefully.

According to the National Weather Service, snow expected mainly before 5 p.m. Thursday. Temperatures will fall to around 22 by 1 p.m. Wind chill values between 15 and 20. Northwest wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Light snow possible before 8 p.m. Cloudyin the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 8. Wind chill values between zero and 5. North wind around 8 mph.
