Snow tapers off, but cold temps will continue

Snow clean-up is still underway Friday morning after the storm dumped roughly 4.5 to 5 inches of snow on Trumbull.

Most Trumbull roads are plowed, according to reports.

A winter storm warning remains in effect until 1 p.m. Friday, but snowfall tapered off before 9 a.m. Snowfall totals were less than projected Thursday.

The National Weather Service reports that blowing snow will continue after noon, making for hazardous travel. Wind chills values as low as -10 are expected with wind gusts up to 29 mph.

Tonight will be mostly clear with a low around -3.

Trumbull schools, Trumbull Recreation and town offices are closed Friday.
