Jane Ryan School
Junior Achievement (JA) needs volunteers to help teach junior achievement in our first through fifth grade classrooms. JA provides volunteers with step-by-step materials to complete five classroom lessons. Each lesson lasts between 30-45 minutes. Parents can pair up with friends to split lessons! Please contact Maura Rhodes if you can help.
The School Store will be open for business on Thursday, March 24 from 11:30 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Store bucks are available for purchase for $2.50 and $5 buck sheets. Since cupcakes and treats are no longer allowed, why not celebrate school birthdays and special occasions with store bucks. Bucks are available in $.50 and $1 increments and may be purchased for grades 1-5. The buck request form can be found on the Jane Ryan website, under the school newsletter – last page.
The School Store is looking for volunteers. If you want to volunteer with a minimal time commitment, the Store is for you. Help as little or as much as you choose and be delighted by our children as they shop for supplies and treasures! Contact Jen Kane if you’re interested in volunteering.
Save the date for a Moms Night Out on Friday, April 1. The 5th grade activity committee will be hosting a fun night of Bunco! All are welcome to attend.
The Spring Book Fair is coming on Thursday, April 7, just in time to stock up before Spring Break! This is the very popular Buy One, Get One free event. Parent volunteers will be needed to help students with their shopping. Keep an eye out for iVolunteer.
The All-School Clean Up will be on Saturday, April 23, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Please help us clean playgrounds and grade beds around Jane Ryan. Bring along your garden gloves and tools as we spruce up the place after a long winter. Look for an iVolunteer sign up for times and shifts soon. High school volunteer hours are available. Any questions, contact Megan Watson.
Save your Box Tops for Education and send them to Jane Ryan on March 1 attached to a collection sheet or in a baggie. Collection sheets will be sent home with students and can also be printed off the Jane Ryan Facebook page. For more information, contact Ann O’Sullivan.
Join Stop & Shop’s A+ program by registering Jane Ryan Elementary School to your Stop & Shop Rewards card. A percentage of sales will be donated to help fund our children’s education. The code is 06186.
