Booth Hill School

Frenchtown School
The District Wide Cultural Diversity Committee will meet at 7 p.m., in the Frenchtown Media Center on Thursday, Feb. 25. All are welcome to attend.

THS students will present a preview of the musical, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, to grade 4 and grade 5 students and staff on Friday, Feb. 26.

March 2 is Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss’s Birthday.

Mark your calendars for our annual Multicultural Dinner on Friday, March 18 from 6:30-9 p.m. Flyers have been sent home and additional information will be sent home shortly. Space is limited to the first 240 people that respond.

Every Tuesday will be Spirit Day. Students and staff will wear blue and white, Frenchtown spirit wear or a shirt with a Wolf on it. The last Tuesday of every month is Citizenship Day when students and staff wear red, white and blue.

Rewards Program — Frenchtown will once again be participating in the Stop and Shop A+ Program. Our school ID is 06238. Earn points while you shop that will equate back to dollars for our school.

We are participating in ShopRite for Education. Our school code is 49972. Sign up if you already have a Shop Rite Price Plus Club Card. If not, get one the next time you are at ShopRite and then enroll your card. Frenchtown earns points towards free educational equipment.

We are collecting Box Tops for Education. Don't forget to send them in.


Jane Ryan School
The Jane Ryan Father’s Club Movie Night will be Friday, Feb. 26, in the cafeteria at 7 p.m. The movie is Minions. Doors open at 6:45. Admission is free and refreshments are available. No outside food please. Will be rescheduled if Trumbull schools are cancelled.

Jane Ryan’s Bingo Night will be on Friday, March 4. Doors open at 6 p.m. Games start at 6:30. It is $1 per person (includes door prize ticket) and game packet is $8 per person (includes three Bingo cards per game and one extra door prize ticket). Door prizes and baked goods are needed and can be left in the office before March 1. Plain pizzas can be pre-ordered via a flier being sent home with students. Pizzas are $12 per large plain. School Store bucks are available for purchase in $5 and $10 buck sheets. Send in the order form found on the last page of the Jane Ryan newsletter. Bucks are available in $.50 and $1 increments. New items are always added in addition to our usual school supply staples.

The School Store is looking for volunteers. If you want to volunteer with a minimal time commitment, the Store is for you. Help as little or as much as you choose and be delighted by our children as they shop for supplies and treasures. Contact Jen Kane if you’re interested in volunteering.

Save your Box Tops for Education and send them to Jane Ryan on March 1 attached to a collection sheet or in a baggie. Collection sheets will be sent home with students and can also be printed off the Jane Ryan Facebook page. For more information, contact Ann O’Sullivan.
