Middle schools announce student-led conference date
Madison Middle School and Hillcrest Middle School have announced their upcoming student-led conferences date and times: Tuesday, March 22, 1-3 p.m., and 6:30-8:30 p.m.
This conferencing method has emerged as a very positive addition to the traditional middle school parent/teacher conference. Visit websites for more information.
Booth Hill School
Thursday, March 17, is an early dismissal for afternoon conferences.
Saturday, March 19, Booth Hill School students will be holding a Family Fun Night with the Sound Tigers.
Monday, March 21, 9:30 s.m, there will be a kindergarten orientation meeting for parents of incoming kindergarten students. It will be held in the cafeteria.
The 5th grade Invention Convention will be held on March 24..
The Father’s Club is calling all golfers to join them in the 13th annual Father’s Club Golf Tournament on Monday, May 9, at the Tashua Knolls Golf Club. Visit bhfathersclub.com to register.
Frenchtown School
Afternoon and evening conferences are scheduled for Thursday, March 17. Both sessions are by appointment only. It is a legal day dismissal at 1pm and lunch will not be served.
Our annual Multicultural dinner is on Friday, March 18 from 6:30-9 p.m. Space is limited to 240 people. Please send in your registration and money ASAP.
Report cards will be sent home on Monday, March 21.
Spring photos will be on Tuesday, March 22. Reminder: No money is due until you receive the pictures back.
The staff of Thrive: The Essence of Dance will join our school for Emotion in Motion. Grades K, 1 and 2 will see the performance on Wednesday, March 23.

Jane Ryan School
Junior Achievement (JA) needs volunteers to help teach junior achievement in our first through fifth grade classrooms. JA provides volunteers with step-by-step materials to complete five classroom lessons. Each lesson lasts between 30-45 minutes. Parents can pair up with friends to split lessons! The School Store will be open for business on Thursday, March 24 from 11:30 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Store bucks are available for purchase for $2.50 and $5 buck sheets. Since cupcakes and treats are no longer allowed, why not celebrate school birthdays and special occasions with store bucks. Bucks are available in $.50 and $1 increments and may be purchased for grades 1-5. The buck request form can be found on the Jane Ryan website, under the school newsletter – last page.
The School Store is looking for volunteers. If you want to volunteer with a minimal time commitment, the Store is for you. Help as little or as much as you choose and be delighted by our children as they shop for supplies and treasures! Contact Jen Kane if you’re interested in volunteering.
Save the date for a Moms Night Out on Friday, April 1. The 5th grade activity committee will be hosting a fun night of Bunco! All are welcome to attend.
The Spring Book Fair is Thursday, April 7. This is the very popular Buy One, Get One free event. Parent volunteers will be needed to help students with their shopping. Keep an eye out for iVolunteer.
All-School Clean Up — Saturday, April 23, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Help us clean playgrounds and grade beds around Jane Ryan. Bring along your garden gloves. Look for an iVolunteer sign up for times and shifts soon. High school volunteer hours are available. Any questions, contact Megan Watson.

Tashua Spring BOGO Book Fair will be held on April 5, 6 and 7 (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning) during school hours. All children will have the opportunity to shop and purchase books during their designated class time-slot on one of these days. Parents are welcome to come in and shop. Teachers will also have the opportunity to make a class wish-list that will be available at the book fair registers.
