The Halloween parade is Oct. 31, at 2:45 p.m. Check with classroom teachers for details on parties, etc. Students should bring costumes to school; they should not wear costumes to school. Any props resembling weapons are not permitted. Students will be parading around the perimeter of the playground blacktop. Parents may gather at the edge of the black top to view the parade. If it rains, the parade will be held indoors and parents may gather on either side of the hallway that connects the primary and upper grade wings, in the front lobby near the doors, or around the perimeter of the gym to view the parade.
Friday Night Lights at Trumbull High School. Friday, Nov. 1. 5:30 p.m. — Tailgating; 7 p.m. — Game. This evening of family fun includes prizes, photo ops, a Tashua announcer, games, honorary football captain and face painting. Advance tickets are $5 adult/$4 child. Election Day Bake Sale — Bakers and volunteers needed. All baked goods must be nut-free and individually wrapped. Bakers can be parents of students in grades K-5. Grade 5 parents and students are needed to help sell on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Madison Middle School. Visit pta.ivolunteer.com/bakesale2013 to sign up.
The School Store will be open on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Students can bring in money to purchase supplies and other fun items during lunch.
The Block Party’s Team Tashua is back for the fourth year. Brought to you by the b-Cause Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to educate children to recognize neighbors in need in the community.
