The Independent Party of Connecticut unanimously threw their support behind Judge of Probate T. R. Rowe in his bid for reelection.

The Independent Party is the third-largest political party in the state. The endorsement means Rowe will not just appear on the Republican line, but will also appear on the Independent Party line on the ballot on Nov. 4.

“As a Judge of Probate it is critical that my court enjoys a reputation for being fair and impartial, and it is important that my candidacy reflect that,” Rowe said. “That is why this endorsement by the Connecticut Independent Party is meaningful to me. I appreciate the faith they have placed in my current service on the bench, and I look forward to continuing to work for all residents who are served by my court.”

“We believe Judge Rowe represents a terrific impartial voice in the district his court serves, and represents a steady approach in a critical role,” said John Dietter, State Chairman of the Connecticut Independent Party. “His distinguished record of service over his prior two years as Judge of Probate reflects our common goals. We enthusiastically endorse Judge Rowe in his re-election bid, and look forward to his victory in November.”

T. R. Rowe’s probate district includes the towns of Trumbull, Monroe and Easton.
