Resident directs Capote's 'Holiday Memories'

Theatre Artists Workshop of Norwalk continues its 30th anniversary season with Truman Capote's Holiday Memories, directed by Mark Graham of Trumbull. The show will be performed as a staged concert reading from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 in Norwalk. Visit for showtimes.

The cast includes Kristin Graham of Trumbull.

Holiday Memories combines two Capote short story classics, "The Thanksgiving Visitor," and "A Christmas Memory." In these two combined stories, the play presents a dramatic tension between the younger seven-year-old Truman and the older, middle-aged man who in this theatrical presentation, are aware of and occasionally "talk" to each other.

"The Thanksgiving Visitor" centers around a crisis that arises for young Buddy when his cousin, "the meanest creature on earth" is invited by Miss Sook Faulk for Thanksgiving dinner.

"A Christmas Memory" tells the story of the relationship between Buddy and the eccentric Miss Sook.
