Spaghetti dinner/free concert - Nov. 16

Long Hill United Methodist Church, 6358 Main St., (next door to Corner Deli), continues their dinner/concert series on Saturday, Nov. 16. The guest musical artists are the Chris Coulter Quartet and they specialize in swing jazz. It is a free concert which begins at 7 p.m., right after the spaghetti supper. The $11 dinner includes spaghetti, salad, bread beverages and dessert and the church’s renowned meatballs may also be purchased. The dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. sharp, some come early to get parked and find a seat.

Art auction and beer and wine tasting - Nov. 17

Sponsored by Congregation B’nai Torah, 5700 Main St., on Sunday, Nov. 17. The professional auction company, Marlin Art will conduct the event with a preview at 6:30 p.m. The Beer and Wine Tasting, provided by Town Line, 345 Hawley Lane in Stratford, will also begin at 6:30 p.m., as will numerous raffles. A live auction will follow at 7:30, featuring art in all media and price ranges. Major credit cards accepted for purchases. Admission is $10 /$18 for two and includes refreshments, dessert and coffee. Each ticket purchased in advance will also receive two free raffle tickets. Dinner and discussion - Nov. 20

A Greek dinner with Marcia Haddad Ikonomopoulos, museum director of Kehila Kedosha Janina (KKJ), a Yanniote synagogue on Broome Street, in New York City, will be sponsored by Congregation B’nai Torah, 5700 Main St., on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The meet and greet dinner will begin at 6 p.m., followed by a presentation and discussion at 7:30. Dinner is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. The presentation is free of charge. Covered dish luncheon - Nov. 21

On Thursday, Nov. 21, at noon, the Women’s Fellowship of Unity Hill United Church of Christ, 364 White Plains Road, will hold a covered dish luncheon. Program to feature Dawn Brezina of All About Ceramics shop in Stratford. Those attending will decorate a ceramic Christmas bell. Cost for the ceramic piece is $6.50. Cost for luncheon is $7, or bring a covered dish to share. Reservations can be made with the church at 203-374-8822.

Dinner/Bingo - Nov. 23

Dinner/Bingo will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Road, on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 6 p.m. Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children 10 and under. Includes dinner (meatball grinder, salad, side of pasta, dessert, and beverage), and bingo cards for all 12 regular games. Pay when reserving. Thanksgiving Eve Service - Nov. 27

On Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 8 p.m., there will be the annual Thanksgiving Eve Service at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 200 Shelton Road, sponsored by the Trumbull Interfaith Committee. Area clergy and a community choir will be featured. Bring non-perishable food for Trumbull Social Services. The Rev. Msgr. Richard J. Shea is host Pastor and will deliver the Thanksgiving message.

On Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m., Trumbull Interfaith Committee will hold its monthly meeting at Congregation B’nai Torah, 5700 Main St.
