The Trumbull Public Schools announced recently that Bryan Rickert will become the Assistant Principal at Hillcrest Middle School. Rickert will be following retiring Assistant Principal Rita Nappi.
Rickert has demonstrated exemplary leadership at Middlesex Middle School in the Darien Public Schools as Social Studies Department Head and Team Leader since 2009 and Social Studies teacher since 2006, according to the district.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Western Connecticut State University, his Master of Science degree from University of Scranton, and an additional Master of Science degree in Educational Administration from Purdue University.
Rickert was most impressive in the interview process, according to Superintendent Gary Cialfi, which included a committee consisting of representation from the staff, parents and community members. He will begin the transition with Nappi during December, 2013.
