More treats than tricks at Westfield Trumbull's Halloween event

TRUMBULL — Spooky, silly and fantastical creatures of all kinds were on display at Westfield Trumbull mall Monday, as the business presented its annual Halloween event.

From 3 to 5 p.m., children younger than 12 were welcome to trick-or-treat in costume at participating stores throughout the mall that were distributing treats.

A mall spokesperson didn't have a final count for the number of stores that participated in the "Malloween," but, in past years, about 50 to 60 merchants in the shopping center handed out candy or other treats to youngsters.
