Cadbury Creme Eggs are only sold between January and Easter, but the factory “lays” 66,000 eggs per hour year-round just to meet the demand. In 1998, Easter candy sales totaled $940 million. But by 2000, it rose to $1.9 billion, consuming 7.1 billion pounds, to edge ahead of Christmas candy sales that year.
