Library lists non-fiction books for discussion group
The Trumbull Library Non-Fiction Book Group has announced its book selections for the upcoming winter/spring. The group meets on the first Wednesday of each month in the main branch of the Trumbull Library on 33 Quality Street from noon-1 pm. Participants are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch.
The monthly book discussion is facilitated by Trumbull resident Joan Hammill from a preselected non-fiction title chosen by group members. The book group is open to the public and participants are welcome to attend one or all of the scheduled discussions.

The titles chosen for February through June 2017 are as follows:
February 1 — Presidential Courage: Brave Leaders and How They Changed America by Michael Beschloss
March 1 – Leonard Bernstein: An American Musician (Jewish Lives) by Allen Shawn
April 5 – Factory Man: How One Furniture Maker Battled Offshoring, Stayed Local – and Helped Save an American Town by Beth Macy
May 3 – Empire of Blue Water: Captain Morgan’s Great Pirate Army, the Epic Battle for the Americans, and the Catastrophe That Ended the Outlaws’ Bloody Reign by Stephan Talty
June 7 – Upstairs at the White House: My Life with the First Ladies by J.B. West & Mary Lynn Kotz.
