Kiely: Trick-or-treating delayed to Nov. 4, Westfield hosts Halloween party

The following is a message from CT ALERT ENS (911):

This is Trumbull Police Chief Tom Kiely calling concerning present safety conditions and the status of Halloween.

Due to the presence of live wires and trees that are continuing to fall, Halloween has been postponed until Sunday, November 4th.

We believe that postponing Halloween until this date will allow our Emergency Management Team enough time to clear roads and eliminate any danger with downed power lines.

In the meantime, the Westfield Trumbull Shopping Park will be sponsoring a Halloween Party for all Trumbull residents and their children between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 PM tomorrow, October 31st. We encourage all Trumbull families and their children to attend and Westfield will provide charging stations for cell phones.
