HAN FCIAC winter sports previews: Norwalk Bears

The HAN Network recently got a chance to meet the leaders of the Norwalk Bears teams — one that will be featured regularly on our winter broadcast schedule.
The HAN Cruiser was at Norwalk High School on Wednesday, Dec. 9, to meet the Bears during the sixth stop on the HAN Network's winter FCIAC Tour. We're traveling to all 17 league schools in December to interview the winter captains and coaches before we start our second full season of live high school sports broadcasts in Connecticut.
The tour started on Monday afternoon, Dec. 7, at Darien High School and is scheduled to conclude on Tuesday, Dec. 15, in Greenwich — the 17th school on the tour. You can check out the other interviews at this page or on our YouTube Channel.
There are nearly 30 games on HAN’s winter schedule that include eight sports: Boys and girls ice hockey, boys and girls basketball, wrestling, gymnastics, boys swimming and indoor track. You can check out the winter schedule at this link. (Note: It is subject to change the season progresses.)
You can follow the HAN Network broadcast team’s trip through the county on the HAN Network Twitter feed or by searching and using the hashtags, #FCIACtour and #HANcruiser.
The Bears are part of HAN’s boys basketball debut on Thursday, Jan. 8, when Norwalk hosts Danbury. We’ll also have Norwalk boys basketball at Stamford on Tuesday, Jan. 12; home against Brien McMahon on Friday, Feb. 5; and at Westhill on Monday, Feb. 15. But some more games could be added during the season and HAN has exclusive broadcasting rights for all league postseason contests.
Rob Adams, HAN Network's sports director, and Dave Stewart, the editor of FCIAC.net, conducted the interviews of the Norwalk athletes and coaches who joined us on Wednesday, Dec. 8. You can watch all the interviews below:
