Before starting our live winter sports coverage, the HAN Network set out on another voyage through Fairfield County to meet the captains and coaches of the winter sports teams at all 17 FCIAC schools.
The tour started on Monday afternoon, Dec. 7, at Darien High School and is scheduled to conclude on Tuesday, Dec. 15, in Greenwich. There are nearly 30 games on HAN’s winter schedule that include eight sports: Boys and girls ice hockey, boys and girls basketball, wrestling, gymnastics, boys swimming and indoor track. Our initial 2015-16 winter sports schedule includes six Darien regular season contests: New Canaan at Darien boys ice hockey on Tuesday, Dec. 29; Notre Dame-West Haven at Darien boys ice hockey on Monday, Jan. 4; Darien at Greenwich gymnastics on Thursday, Jan. 14; Darien at Greenwich boys swimming on Wednesday, Jan. 20; Darien at New Canaan boys ice hockey on Saturday, Jan. 30; and Fairfield Warde-Ludlowe at Darien boys ice hockey on Monday, Feb. 1.
