HAN FCIAC Winter Sports Preview: Trinity Catholic Crusaders

The smallest school in the FCIAC has big hopes for the winter sports season.

The HAN Cruiser pulled into Trinity Catholic High School in Stamford on Tuesday, Dec. 15. It was the 16th stop on the HAN Network's Winter FCIAC Tour. It was the windiest day of the seven-day tour and first time we had to do the interviews inside the HAN Cruiser instead of the HAN tent.

We've traveled to all 17 league schools in December to interview the winter captains and coaches before we start our second full season of live high school sports broadcasts in southwestern Connecticut.
The tour started on Monday afternoon, Dec. 7, at Darien High School and concluded on Tuesday, Dec. 15, in Greenwich — the 17th school on the tour. You can check out the other interviews at this page or on our YouTube Channel. We'll be posting all the interviews — about 150 — this week.
You can follow the HAN Network broadcast team’s trip through the county on the HAN Network Twitter feed or by searching and using the hashtags, #FCIACtour and #HANcruiser.
There are nearly 30 games on HAN’s winter schedule that include eight sports: Boys and girls ice hockey, boys and girls basketball, wrestling, gymnastics, boys swimming and indoor track. You can check out the winter schedule at this link. (Note: It is subject to change as the season progresses.)
The Crusaders’s boys and girls basketball teams are scheduled to be featured live on HAN this season. We’ll have the crosstown battle between Trinity and Stamford on Friday, Jan. 22; and the girls against Trumbull on Friday, Feb. 12. More games could be added during the season and HAN has exclusive broadcasting rights for all league postseason contests including the cheerleading championships.
Rob Adams, HAN Network's sports director, conducted the interviews of the Danbury athletes and coaches who joined us on Friday, Dec. 11. You can watch all the interviews below:
