Sami Grasso and Sabrina Toole from St. Joseph High played in the first ever All-American Girls High School Soccer game, which was held Dec. 7, in Raleigh, N.C., at Cardinal Gibbons High School.

The teams were divided geographically East vs West. The locals played for the East, which won 2-0.

The duo helped lead the Cadets to both the FCIAC and Class LL state championships this year.

St. Joseph ended their season with a record of 20-0-1.

Grasso will be attending The College of William and Mary (Va.) in the fall and plans to continue to play soccer there.

The All-American game was sponsored in part by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, Unitus sports, Adidas, Noxin Trucking, and Soccer.com.
