Competing against 28 other high school marching bands from throughout the country last week in Towson, Maryland, Trumbull High School earned the right to enter the finals and finished in the top 10 last week. The 150 member band learned valuable lessons from that competition. This served them well in competitions held Saturday, Nov. 2, at both Bunnell High School in Stratford as well as Norwalk High School.

The Golden Eagles were the winners in their marching band class at Bunnell and at Norwalk, with a score of 95.50. To top it off, Trumbull High’s band also garnered the Jeff Smith Award at Norwalk High School. Norwalk presents this award to the most deserving band each year in honor of its long standing band director, who is now retired.

The Fall band season will come to a climatic close at Kennedy Stadium in Bridgeport on Saturday, Nov. 9, beginning at 5 p.m. For more information, e-mail the Trumbull High School Golden Eagle Marching band at marketing@thgembcorp.com.
