Dinner of Champions

Teixeira, who resides in Greenwich and is known for his extensive community outreach, was awarded the J. Walter Kennedy award for his successes on and off the field. Ian and Shep Murray, who spent the winter months growing up in Greenwich, received the MS Hope Award for extraordinary leadership, outstanding civic and community service and for a longstanding commitment to humanitarian endeavors. Placey served as mistress of ceremonies for the evening. More than 200 people attended the black tie optional event, which raised more than $220,000.
